Choose a current event (no older than 2017) that exhibits prejudice, hate, violence, or all three. This event can be broad and international in scope, such as the Syrian War, or on a smaller interpersonal level, such as specific recent hate crimes or reports of discrimination, a school or other mass shooting, etc.
Describe the event, and then carefully analyze it using concepts we have discussed during the course of the semester. How does the science behind prejudice, hate, and violence help us to better understand real-world acts of human cruelty such as the one you have chosen?
