For ALL 6 Options, here is the basic procedure for the 28 day study:
Choose an option
For the next 28 days, Measure the designated specified activity relative to your option
DAYS 1-7, measure the desired activity (A)
DAYS 8-21 add the prescribed treatment or in" rel="nofollow">intervention (B)
DAY 22 remove the prescribed treatment or in" rel="nofollow">intervention (C)
DAY 22-28 contin" rel="nofollow">inue measurements
DATA is to be collected everyday and recorded
PLOT the data you collected in" rel="nofollow">in a GRAPH
i. X-axis will be the in" rel="nofollow">independent variable (hin" rel="nofollow">int, times in" rel="nofollow">in units of days)
ii. Y-axis will be dependent variable
iii. Compute a mean for DAYS 1-7 (A), 8-21(B), 22-28 (C)
1. A--in" rel="nofollow">initial baselin" rel="nofollow">ine
2. B—treatment
3. C—fin" rel="nofollow">inal baselin" rel="nofollow">ine
Calculate % change
Formula for in" rel="nofollow">initial baselin" rel="nofollow">ine % change:
%change= (treatment mean- in" rel="nofollow">initial baselin" rel="nofollow">ine mean)/treatment mean *100
Formula for fin" rel="nofollow">inal baselin" rel="nofollow">ine % change:
%change= (treatment mean- fin" rel="nofollow">inal baselin" rel="nofollow">ine mean)/treatment mean *100
