Random Acts of Kindness

Did you know that World Kindness Day is November 13? In the crazy world we live in today, there’s no time like the present to propagate kindness.  A kind act can be moment changing, day changing, and even life changing for some people. Check it out here! https://www.randomactsofkindness.org

Here is the task…

  1. Check out ideas for random acts of kindness here:

  2. Identify three (3) acts of kindness you feel comfortable extending to others and plan to commit those acts.
    a. One act of kindness should be directed toward a person you already know and who knows you (e.g. a family member or friend).
    b. Another act of kindness should be directed toward someone you do not know, but only in a situation or with a person where you feel safe and anonymous (e.g. someone behind you in line at Starbucks).
    c. And the third should be directed toward a group of people (e.g. your work group, sorority/fraternity, team, classmates, etc.).
  3. Commit the act of kindness, taking note of the following for EACH act of kindness:
    a. Day, time, and location the act of kindness was committed.
    b. What planning went into committing the act of kindness.
    c. How it went when you committed the act of kindness.
    d. How it made you feel to commit this act of kindness. For example, did you feel excited, generous, grateful, happy, humble, etc.?
    e. How it seemed to make the recipient(s) feel when they experienced this random act of kindness from you.
    f. Whether you feel there are any consequences of this act of kindness for you or the recipient.
  4. Finally, write a summary about the overall experience for you and what you think of random acts of kindness. Are there ways you can incorporate kindness more into your everyday life? How can you as an individual, or can those within a group in which you have membership, or even our larger society be more kind?
