You just read Rene Descartes' Meditations on First Philosophy. This is one of the most important (and most interesting) works of philosophy in the Western canon. Reading it all the way through is an accomplishment. You should be proud of yourself!
Although the Meditations is extremely interesting and influential, it can also be very confusing for first-time readers. With that in mind, in your post this week, I'd like you to identify and explain what, in your opinion, is the most interesting or persuasive idea or argument you found in the Meditations. Then, identify what, in your opinion, is the most surprising or confusing idea/argument/point you encountered. Finally, if you can, try to identify something you've read or watched elsewhere that might've been influenced by Descartes' ideas.
