The Resource Pack (3500) words
This section of the assignment for the module requires students to develop a Global Education Practice Manual on a local-global theme of your choice. It is expected that you will work or consult with appropriate group(s) to develop the manual.
Your pack should contain" rel="nofollow">in the followin" rel="nofollow">ing sections:
1. A distin" rel="nofollow">inctive cover sheet, contents page, and acknowledgements.
2. An in" rel="nofollow">introduction explain" rel="nofollow">inin" rel="nofollow">ing what your local-global theme is, why it is a useful theme to look at, how the manual is structured and ways that community development practitioners could use it.
3. An analysis of the local-global theme in" rel="nofollow">in the context of globalisation, identifyin" rel="nofollow">ing lin" rel="nofollow">inks between the personal, local, and global community (and vice versa), highlightin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">inequalities in" rel="nofollow">in these lin" rel="nofollow">inks and developin" rel="nofollow">ing a Global Education agenda that could be addressed.
4. A series of imagin" rel="nofollow">inative in" rel="nofollow">informal education/community education activities usin" rel="nofollow">ing life styles, music, food, arts, campaigns, story tellin" rel="nofollow">ing, in" rel="nofollow">internet, games, etc to promote learnin" rel="nofollow">ing based on the community education agenda derived from your analysis in" rel="nofollow">in 3 above.
5. An edited portfolio of essential in" rel="nofollow">information made easily accessible to workers and client groups. You will need to in" rel="nofollow">include a content page and provide explanatory notes to direct workers and/or client groups through your portfolio (10 pages, not in" rel="nofollow">included in" rel="nofollow">in word count).
6. An evaluation of the practice manual by your group(s) identifyin" rel="nofollow">ing its strengths, weaknesses, and how it can be improved. Provide also a self-analysis of the learnin" rel="nofollow">ing you have gain" rel="nofollow">ined on this module as a whole.
