RGM

Your task is to design and describe another two simple machines that will be steps 2 and 3 of your RGM using text, diagrams, pictures, etc. - whatever you feel that you need to provide a description of the two machines. You are not required to build anything at this point, but you may find that it may help you to be both creative and realistic. If you have trouble thinking of things to try, discuss with your group, explore RGMs on YouTube, or get inspired by your textbook! Important things to consider include the magnitude of any applied forces, inelastic or elastic collisions, do you have any rolling motion, how to effectively knock something out of equilibrium?

Please submit for review:

Descriptions (including text, hand-drawn diagrams, pictures, etc.) of two simple machines that will appear at steps 2 and 3 of your RGM. (10 points)
A list of materials that you will need to build these simple machines. (2 points)
How you will estimate or measure any quantities (mass, length, speed, etc.) (5 points)
A short description (1 paragraph) of how one of the simple machine will set off step 4 of your RGM. (3 points)
(Optional) Any calculations you performed to figure things out!
