1) When Tybalt offers to fight Mercutio and Benvolio, do you believe that Mercutio and
Benvolio also want to fight?
2) When Tybalt approaches Romeo and is ready to fight, what is
Romeo's reaction? What does he mean by the following lines:
"Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee/ Doth much excuse
the appeartaining rage/ To such a greeting:villian am I none/
Therefore farewell. I see thou knowest me not" (III.i.58 -61)?
3) A fight ensues between Tybalt and Mercutio, who dies as a
result? What does he swear to Romeo will happen to him and the
Capulets? (hint: line 96)

7) Who breaks the news to Romeo that he must be banished from Verona? What does
Romeo say as a result of the consequence?
8) The Nurse arranges for Romeo and Juliet to meet, but what does Juliet's father have
planned for her in the meantime? What was her reaction to her father's arrangement
with Paris? What did her father say would happen to Juliet if she did not marry Paris?
