Choose and watch a documentary film. You will fin" rel="nofollow">ind a great selection of documentaries in" rel="nofollow">in our library on the first floor or you can use any other type of media available to you. Also, for free
onlin" rel="nofollow">ine access to documentaries:
1. Go to the Library Website.
2. Click Library and then Databases.
3. Under databases, search for Kanopy. (You will fin" rel="nofollow">ind documentaries here.)
Post Response: Under this Discussion Board, post the name of the Documentary film you are watchin" rel="nofollow">ing this week. Post the Title, date, and director or producer of the documentary.
Again" rel="nofollow">in, we will not meet as a group but you have an onlin" rel="nofollow">ine assignment.
On Discussion Board for March 30: Post a short response to the documentary that you watched. The response should be at least a paragraph long. Again" rel="nofollow">in, name your film, the date, and the
director/producer. Give a brief overview of the content of this documentary. Also, consider this, in" rel="nofollow">in our textbook, pp. 261-267, documentary films are discussed in" rel="nofollow">in terms of elements and rhetorical
positions. The four different rhetorical positions or poin" rel="nofollow">ints of view are: explorative position; in" rel="nofollow">interrogative position; persuasive position; and reflexive or performative positions. Thin" rel="nofollow">ink about the
documentary you have watched. Did the director/producer explore a topic in" rel="nofollow">in this film? Did he/she ask questions through this film? Was the film presented as an argument with the purpose of
persuasion? Or, did the film ask you to consider the filmmakin" rel="nofollow">ing process and/or the filmmaker's performance of reality?
