Part 1 -Written Self-Critique: You will be required to write a 2.5 page self-critique identifying and analyzing
FIVE
patterns of writing errors in your work leading up to and/or including the Write Experience assignments.
You will be expected to offer specific examples of each error and corrected versions for each of the five
error examples.
Errors may include grammar, sentence-structure (mechanics), spelling, punctuation and diction errors,
as well as, effective sentence errors (e.g. sentence unity, subordination and coordination, parallelism,
shifts, emphasis,
variety, etc.).
Part 2 - Presentation Self-Critique: You will be required to write a 2.5 page self-critique of your informative
presentation based on analysis of your videotaped presentation and feedback from peers. Your analysis
will also provide an action plan for three areas of improvement you identified.
Your self-critique will include an assessment of your performance, based on a review and analysis of the
video of your presentation, and an analysis of the peer feedback you receive. The self-critique should
demonstrate that you have a clear understanding of your performance and the areas in which you need to
improve. You will identify three specific areas that you will improve upon in your second graded
presentation. It is recommended you ask a friend to record your presentation as well.
