a. Students will demonstrate an understanding of techniques and strategies for sharing literature with children through oral presentations of storytelling.
b. Student will choose a story from literature to use in storytelling and complete a written narrative for the Signature Assignment that includes title in APA bibliography format with a detailed annotation of the story and a list of props or materials that will be used in the presentation. (Minimum 1 page)
c. Discuss why you think this is a good choice for storytelling. Include information from at least two sources and a quote from an expert in the field to discuss why the book or story chosen for the storytelling presentation is a good choice. For example, this may include what experts say makes a good story for the story telling experience, what kinds of books are the best choice, why they think this title meets criteria for a good choice for storytelling, etc. (Minimum1 page).
d. Student will present the story in storytelling format to a group of children. Discuss the results and analyze your performance. What conclusions can you draw from the experience? (Minimum 1 page)
e. Student will present the story in class using learned story telling techniques and strategies following criteria listed on the rubric and on the evaluation sheet.
