2.ACTION PLAN

  You are working as a police chief in a large metropolitan agency. After several recent Use of Force incidents broadcast nationwide, there have been many outbursts in the community your agency serves. As a result, you are directed by the City Manager to develop an action plan to address community concerns taking into consideration principle based management, ethical decision making, and a multicultural environment that has been accusatory with regard to racial discrimination and the lack of officer presence in the community. The action plan proposal is to be no less than 1500words.

3. Mini-Ethnography

  Write-up your analysis of data you collected from the field site, participant-observation and interview. In an original 5-page research paper, draw out central themes of your research. What are the social rules, norms, and expectations expressed in the field site and by the social actors in it? What do we need to know to understand this place? In your analysis, identify at least 2 key concepts from anthropology that help readers to understand the place and the people that you conducted research with.
