"Significant Sentence" ,

Text book needed:
Managing Operations Across the Supply Chain.
fourth edition.
cooper and swink
a sentence from either chapter 1 or 2
The goal of Significant Sentences is:
Demonstrate that you have been able to identify and defend the most critical sentence in a chapter or a group
of assigned chapters. Don’t simply use the title – but look deeply into the chapter or chapters and identify the
one critical sentence that explains the “heart” of the reading.
It is of benefit to post early in the week as each student must choose a different sentence each week.
After you have shared and cited using APA the Significant Sentence in the assigned chapter or chapters then
you are to explain in detail using 100 to 300 words exactly why you chose that sentence. You are to “defend”
your choice. Using the analysis:
write five to ten key words from that sentence and then in approximately 50 words defend why you think the
sentence you choose was the most significant in the whole chapter.
This sentence is basically about: (30-50 words of explanation – like a short book report on the sentence).
This sentence means: (30-50 words of context – like explaining the deeper meaning or general usefulness of
this concept).
This sentence means to me NOW: (50-100 words of application – a clear explanation of how you will apply this
concept in your home or work life. This is not how you have used it in the past – but how you will use this
concept in the future.
