Describe the world you’ve entered in Gawain. How is it different/similar to the world of Beowulf? One way into
answering this is to consider Gawain’s virtues, which are describe in the second “fitt.” You can compare them
to Beowulf’s virtues. What do you think of their similarities and differences? It will be good practice to use the
terms in the Epic/Romance chart to help frame your answer.
