During turmoil taking place in the U.S., I want to write a speech/proposal regarding a new “Hashtag” and
“Saying.”
I want to use the term See Something, Say Something, and change it to “See Something, Record
Something”
(#SeeRec).
I want to use the See Something Say Something plan and change it (WORDING TOO), to fit a method,
which will emphasize people (the public), that if they see police corruption or wrongdoing, then to get their
cellphones and press record.
This message should emphasize to upload their footage on a social media platform, not to incite rage or
violence but to get notice and show the world that police aggression takes place more often than we like
to notice.
The second solution is the use of “BODYCAMS.” This section should suggest that government funds used
to
support law enforcement, should be allocated to give civilians body cams to wear.
People used Obama phones; when the government was handing them out, now they can use the same
distribution method to issue “Bodycams” to civilians.
It has been my experience as a retired officer, that if an individual were recording my actions as an
officer, most
officers would think twice before acting in an unprofessional or aggressive fashion.
