Social Security Caregiver Credit Act 2015
The largest group of American caregivers consists of families and friends of patients. Nita Lowey, Representative for New York's 17th Congressional District introduced a bill called the Social Security Caregiver Credit Act of 2015 to provide a Social Security earnings credit to caregivers who have to leave the labor force or reduce their hours to care for a loved one. It has not passed yet. Is this bill a good idea?
