SOLICITOR (GENERAL PRACTICE)

The dominant model of ethical lawyering to emerge ……..has been the traditional view of the lawyer as zealous advocate, or, as William Simon puts it, "neutral partisan:"' one who does whatever possible, within the bounds of the law, to serve her client's interests regardless of what the lawyer herself thinks of the client's ends. A neutral partisan, on this view, passes no judgments; her zeal on behalf of the client is unmitigated and noncontingent.
