You have been asked to prepare an analysis of a social media sports campaign for your company’s board of directors. This comprises a 1500 - 1800 word report analysis of how this campaign functions drawin" rel="nofollow">ing on the material provided in" rel="nofollow">in Weeks 1- 8 of the unit – its strengths, its weaknesses, how it engages with the fans and the major strategies employed.
What you will need to do:
Select an onlin" rel="nofollow">ine sports campaign to analyse. (Remember: you are lookin" rel="nofollow">ing at one particular campaign across multiple social/onlin" rel="nofollow">ine media.)
The campaign must be across at least two onlin" rel="nofollow">ine/social media platforms. You need to provide examples of the campaign in" rel="nofollow">in your analysis. You MUST in" rel="nofollow">include copies of, or lin" rel="nofollow">inks to, at least 75% of the campaign material you are analysin" rel="nofollow">ing in" rel="nofollow">in your submitted work.
Your analysis must take the form of a report, fully researched, referenced and supported by academic theory and secondary evidence.
Your analysis must demonstrate:
A detailed knowledge of the campaign, familiarity with the various theories we have covered and how to use them productively (25 %)
An understandin" rel="nofollow">ing of how multiple social media platforms are utilised for promotion and brandin" rel="nofollow">ing as part of your analysis (25%)
Evidence of research both in" rel="nofollow">into the campaign itself (in" rel="nofollow">includin" rel="nofollow">ing strengths and weaknesses) and the academic literature that in" rel="nofollow">informs your understandin" rel="nofollow">ing of the campaign (35%)
