Recent post-election events and disruptions on college campuses across the country remind us of that role; to enhance student learning, support intellectual growth and nurture personal development.
Discuss what you observe as three of the most important topics for student affairs practitioners as it is related to student development in higher education today. Can you make connections back to student development theory on these topics?
2:The Pew Research Center recently published a report stating that most college presidents (55%) say that plagiarism in students’ papers has increased over the past 10 years. Among those who have seen an increase in plagiarism, 89% say computers and the Internet have played a major role. Apply your readings and discuss approaches that could be enacted to influence this phenomenon using student developmental theory.
