After reviewing the following eight Supreme Court Cases, write a 4 page maximum response to how the court has changed directions over time (reason for making the year the decision was handed down in bold print.) relevant to student privacy and to student rights specific to the First Amendment. While citing specific examples from the cases below, give reasons as to why you think these changes have taken place. Examples of reasons for substantial change could include (but not limited to) world events, such as the Vietnam War, Civil Right Act, a major change in the make up of the membership of the court, and perhaps the either liberal or conservative stance of a particular American President. Based on major events, the nature of how the nation has viewed a particular "right" can change quickly forcing pendulum to prove hard from one side to the other.
