Suicide and Surveillance

My thesis is along the lines of “surveillance is a necessary evil, sacrificing some freedoms for safety and security.” I want to focus on how in psychiatric hospitals and prisons, people are under 24/7 watch, constant surveillance. How it feels like youre completely rid of your privacy, but its for your own good. These people have such a high rate of suicide, that being under watch helps save their lives. A big focus on suicide in these places, and how it can be stopped by having someone watch them.
