- Hyperlinks may not work if students need to upload copies of their blog into VUWs through Turnitin.
o Hyperlinks can be used to make the experience of reading the blog ‘richer’ by linking the reader with external resources to further explain concepts - You are writing the blog post as a social worker – you are writing from viewpoint of a social worker to a broader audience
o You can address a topic that you are interested in
o It is not an academic paper
o There are usually graphics, hyperlinks (that take readers to additional online resources)
o It is a condensed version of information accessible to a wider range of people – e.g. non-academics or people who are not familiar with the topic - Referencing – for major sources of information on your blog
o If you are using the information on your blog, hyperlink the source and cite it - Keywords/tags – there will be a place in the portal for you to include them, but if the site does not work, just include them somewhere in your blog post
