During this topic, you have been asked to explore and reflect on professional and educational policy in your own context. For this task, you should write a short ‘personal statement’ describing the context that your educational intervention will be delivered in and how what you plan fits within that context. This part should address the ‘why’ of your learning activity.

Task
You should consider the ‘what’, ‘who’ and ‘how’ aspects of constructive alignment in designing an educational intervention (Biggs, 2003). Having done this, you should start to prepare a session plan using one of the templates available in the topic (see the example provided). Further information on how to use these templates will be provided in the next topic, Delivering Teaching.
