Sample Solution

The American Dream is alive and well in modern American society, but with a few caveats. The basic idea of pursuing one's goals and achieving success through hard work remains unchanged; however, the reality is that economic inequality has grown over time, making it harder for many people to achieve their dreams due to greater competition for jobs and limited access to resources. Additionally, systemic racism and discrimination continue to limit opportunities for certain groups even when they have acquired the necessary skills or qualifications; this further serves as an obstacle for achieving the American Dream.
