To investigate the international business environment of a country of your choice, you are required to prepare an essay and deliver a short presentation to its board of directors. Scenario: You work as the international business development manager of your chosen organisation. Your delegated project is to undertake a global business environment analysis to critically assess and judge implications of one topic of the international environment in which its operates. Your essay is to be professionally written and must not exceed 2000 words (excluding appendices). Your presentation(20%) must also not exceed 5-minute duration and will be an overview of your topic, sources of information and findings to date.
The business of different countries affects organisations and their strategies. As such, the company directors have instructed you to research ONE macro environmental topic of a country of your choice that your organisation may trade with. For that country, research and write a 2000(+-10%) word essay on ONE of the topics listed below. In your essay you must engage with the recommended reading literature and adopt relevant models and theorise.
1. GLOBAUSATION: Analyse the meaning of globalisation and critically analyse its implications on the business environment of your chosen country. 2. ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT: Discuss the key economic objectives of Government, AND CRITIQUE THEIR PERFORMANCE AND IMMPLICATIONS FOR business in your chosen country. 3.Political Environment: Critically assess to what extent democracy provides a favourable political environment for business and assess the nature and role of Government in your chosen country. 4. International trade- Examine how your chosen country may encourage or restrict international trade and evaluate the main motives for their strategy 5. Sociocultural Environment: Evaluate the social and cultural environment of your chosen country and discuss the implications for your business in that country.
