Draw/sketch and eukaryotic animal cell and label and define each organelle.
Sample Solution
Cell Membrane - The outermost layer of the cell that protects and separates the internal components from its environment, regulating what enters and leaves the cell.
Cytoplasm - The gel-like substance inside the plasma membrane filled with water, proteins and organelles which provides a medium for chemical reactions to take place in the cell.
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) - An organelle composed of an interconnected system of flattened sacs that functions as a transport network in cells facilitating communication between different parts within them.
Golgi Apparatus - A series of flattened, stacked membranes acting like an assembly line for proteins making modifications to them before they are secreted outside or sent elsewhere in the cell; it also packages molecules such as hormones into vesicles for transport elsewhere in the body or out of it altogether.
