  The Constitution   Conduct some research on amendments to the Constitution that have been proposed in the past. You will find some that were passed by Congress and not adopted, many that have been put forward in Congress but never received enough votes to move on to the states, and others that are just interesting suggestions at this point. List and explain ten of these, being sure to describe the problem that the proposed amendment was trying to fix. There are lots of examples to be found on the internet, but there is also an interesting book on the topic by Larry Sabato, a professor at UVA. Phase 3 – Choose three ideas that you would like to see turned into Constitutional amendments. You may use ones that you identified in Phase 2. For each one, explain in greater detail the problem that you are trying to fix. Also explain why the amendment, if adopted, would make the American system of government work better.
