The current worldwide health crisis has caused a significant shift in how we manage, and even view, our lives. What are some things that you have discovered about yourself as a nursing student/future nurse during this time? How did you come to learn these things about yourself?
The current worldwide health crisis
I came to learn these things about myself through my experiences as a nursing student. I have seen firsthand the challenges that nurses face, but I have also seen the incredible rewards. I have been inspired by the dedication and compassion of the nurses I have worked with, and I am excited to join their ranks.
Here are some specific examples of how I have learned about myself during the pandemic:
- When I first started clinical rotations, I was nervous and unsure of myself. But as I gained experience, I became more confident in my abilities. I learned to think critically and to make quick decisions under pressure.
- I also learned to be more compassionate with patients and their families. I saw how the pandemic was affecting people's lives, and I wanted to do everything I could to help. I learned to listen to patients and to provide them with emotional support.
- Finally, I learned that I am passionate about nursing. I love working with patients and making a difference in their lives. I am excited to continue my education and to become a registered nurse.
The pandemic has been a challenging time for everyone, but it has also been a time of growth and learning. I am grateful for the experiences I have had as a nursing student during this time. They have helped me to become a better person and a better nurse.
The current worldwide health crisis has caused me to learn a lot about myself as a nursing student and future nurse. Here are some of the things I have discovered:
- I am more resilient than I thought. I have learned to adapt to change and to deal with uncertainty in a way that I never thought possible.
- I am more compassionate than I thought. I have seen the best and the worst of humanity during this crisis, and it has made me more compassionate and empathetic.
- I am more passionate about nursing than I ever was before. Seeing the impact that nurses have on the lives of their patients has made me even more committed to becoming a nurse.
