This week's Discussion Board will be focused upon the education system and how it has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. There are, of course, many changes that have been made since the stay-at-home orders began in the spring. Consider answering several of the following questions in your initial post.
What has been the biggest educational adjustment you've had to make during this pandemic? What was difficult about making that adjustment? How many others do you think have had the same experience? You are, of course, not obligated to share anything that you think is too personal.
What kind of assistance do you wish you had? Were you able to get the assistance that you needed? What assistance do you need to keep learning remotely and/or online, given that most colleges and universities are likely to delay most face-to-face or in-person instruction until perhaps the summer or even fall of 2021? Are there things that Fullerton College, in particular, could be doing (other than offering more in-person classes, that is)?
How comfortable do you feel with learning online or remotely at this point? Had you taken online classes before the pandemic? What have you found to be the advantages and/or disadvantages of learning remotely? (By the way, remote learning and online education are not really the same, but the distinction may be a bit too fine for most people to care about.)
Can you predict how learning will change as a result of the pandemic? This is an opportunity for you to practice more claims of fact. Your answer doesn't have to be about yourself; in fact, it probably should be a bit more general in nature.
