Now that you have selected your research topic, you need to utilize the basic strategy for library research to select five articles. These five articles will be used for your review of literature section and introduction section. Therefore, try (hard) to select articles that are relevant to your research topic via variables and experts in the topic area you selected. That is, IF your title is about Cultural Misorientation, Self Esteem, and Domestic Violence among African American college students, etc., then your article selections have be the variables in your title. Furthermore, the authors (experts in the field) should have written about your variables in your title. If you have three variables in your title, then you should select articles which will cover each one of your variables. Some articles( primary sources like the one that I suggested in the previous assignment) will have at least one or more of your variables in your title because the author (expert in the field) may have written about this variable extensively. Other articles may have only one of your variables. Needless to say, you need to be sure that your variables are included in your articles so that when you write your review of literature section, you will have literature on all of your variables in your title. These articles will also assist you in writing your introduction as well. If you critique each article you will have a better understanding about your research project and be able to write about it in your introduction and literature review sections.
