and easy to argue, whereas “war is caused by economic competition” is contested and more difficult to argue)

3 peer-reviewed sources pertaining to your chosen topic, with at least 1 source representing a direct objection
to your argument. It is more important to thoughtfully engage with the scholarly literature than to pad your
bibliography with superfluous quotes and citations. Your paper will not receive a passing grade if you do not
sufficiently interact with scholarly sources on your topic.
