The NY State Education Department (NYSED) only approves post-baccalaureate programs. Doctor of Nursing
Programs (DNPs), which must prepare APRN Programs, must admit students with a BS in nursing and those
with master degrees as advanced standing students. It is portended that eventually graduate programs (master
programs) preparing APRNs will be phased out and replaced by DNP programs. What are your thoughts about
