The Three-Book Review

The Introduction must convey two things in 1-2 paragraphs: 1. The authors/titles and dates of publication, and

  1. A few words about the larger context, the history, within which the books rest… The Body of the essay takes
up each book in turn; it surveys and summarizes each work’s subject, scope, key themes, and conclusions,
noting where/how relevant course articles bear upon the subject(s). The Body also features effective transitions
between essay sections, just as it also introduces course articles pertaining to those sections of a book that the
course has especially emphasized. The Conclusion of at least 2-3 paragraphs offers your assessment of the
similarities, differences and significance of and among the three books under review. The eligible book
    combination is:
Christopher Browning, Ordinary Men; Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny; and Annette Dumbach & Jud Newborn,
Sophie Scholl and the White Rose
