Theater

Sarah’s PowerPoint for this week and chapters 9 and 10 of The Theatre Experience include lots of pictures of
sample scenic designs from productions all around the world. Select ONE image from EITHER the PowerPoint
this week or these two chapters, and provide a short critical analysis of its scenic and/or lighting design
choices.
• Sample questions you might address include: What do you see? What colors are being utilized? What is the
“feel” of this set? Is the set/lighting realist or non-realist? What time, place, or world are we in? What do we
know about the production based on this image?
• Please note where you found this image (the weekly PPT or textbook page)
