Order Description
Write an essay about a topic of relevance to Registered Nurses, particularly those begin" rel="nofollow">innin" rel="nofollow">ing their practice. The topic is to be selected from the list below. The essay is expected to have a theme (i.e. a �poin" rel="nofollow">int�, a statement or an argument) and then be supported from appropriate and current literature. The purpose of the essay is to reflect the learnin" rel="nofollow">ing objectives and provide guidance to other new graduate nurses.

Aims/Pitch/Audience:
1. Essay conventions are expected (in" rel="nofollow">introduction/conclusion).
2. The aim is to write current and pertin" rel="nofollow">inent in" rel="nofollow">information targeted for
novice Registered Nurses in" rel="nofollow">in the Australian Environment.
3. Although writin" rel="nofollow">ing �to� this audience � the essay should be in" rel="nofollow">in third person
and not second (i.e. �the nurse� rather than �you�)
4. A high level of scholarship (researchin" rel="nofollow">ing the literature, usin" rel="nofollow">ing the literature
and writin" rel="nofollow">ing the paper) is expected. To these ends, 12 pertin" rel="nofollow">inent and current resources is the min" rel="nofollow">inimum. Current means in" rel="nofollow">in this course 8 years �young� unless a semin" rel="nofollow">inal (classic) work. Sometimes secondary citations in" rel="nofollow">in a current article will be older (please check in" rel="nofollow">in a timely manner with the examin" rel="nofollow">iner if in" rel="nofollow">in doubt).
5. The topics above are �topics� not themes. It is expected students will design a theme from one of these topics and clearly demonstrate that argument through the paper. The theme should be posted on the forum for review.
