It is known that Toyota Motor Corporation is a famous Japanese car manufacturer in the world. In 2012., iIt became the first car company which produces more than 10 million cars in one year, making it 5th most valuable brands as well as the most valuable automotive brand in worldwide (Toyota global website, 2018) According to Toyota Motor Corporation SWOT Analysis (2017), Toyota sells their cars in more than 190 countries and regions around the world and the company not only has operation in Japan but also in North America, Europe and Asia with the business in automotive and financial services. It includes Toyota, Lexus, Daihatsu and Hino these brands currently. In addition to that, Toyota also has many types of car, from Yaris, Corolla to the iconic Prius, the legendary Camry and luxury Avalon etc., (Toyota global website, 2018). Toyota had produced 4,375,682 cars during January to May in 2017, 6.5% ahead of its January-May production in 2016 (Schmitt, 2017); and the company revenues in 2017 was (Yen) JPY27,597,193 million and the operating margin was 7.2% (Toyota Motor Corporation SWOT Analysis, 2017), making it the world's leading automaker and eighth-largest company From the observation observation by who? in China and UK, a great number of people in the two countries do like to drive Toyota car, therefore, it stimulates the initial motivation to investigate the different consumer perceptions between Chinese and British consumers on Toyota Motor. Since there are many others famous car companies in the world, such as Volkswagen, NISSAN etc., but the Toyota is still their first option whose? and the reason why the people in these two countries prefer to Toyota is of interest. Do consumers in different countries have different concerns or a better user experiences when buying a Toyota car? Or what is the biggest reason of consumer when they chooseing a Toyota car. And the hypothesis is that the price why? Need to have some justification for your choice might be the first concern. Thus, the overall aim of this dissertation is to investigate the differences between Chinese and British consumer perceptions on Toyota in terms of price perception. 1. Whether price perception has an influence on customers’ satisfactions with their purchases on Toyota car? 2. What are the factors that influenced the consumer price perception when purchase a Toyota car?
