Training program Design project

You have been hired to consult at a large corporation/company to design a training course to help
employees deal with gender issues at work. Your first job is to collect data on how gender issues affect the
employees of the company. Your second job is to design a training course that will directly address those
issues. Thirdly, you have to sell it as an important training course that employees should take.

Part 1: Focus Group/Data Collection

Imagine that men and women at the corporation gathered to discuss their observations, experiences, and
concerns regarding gender relations at work and are participating in a focus group with you to help you
create a training program that will address these issues. The 12 participants in this focus group represent
management at all levels as weil as diverse administrative, technical, and intern personnel. Imagine that
these 12 employees/participants introduced themselves to you and stated a gender-related problem they
noticed at work. For example, your participants may cite a general problem such as pay and power
differences or may state their experiences of gender identification.

In the first section of your essay, present each of the 12 issues that were presented to you from the 12
people in your focus group.

Give each individual a fictional name and identify him or her in your report with details including age,
gender, ethnicity, and position (power level) at the corporation. Each participant's identity descriptor should
include a statement of the problems he or she has perceived at work. State the problems as if you are
quoting the participant. Because this is an imaginary training group, you must place yourself in the shoes of
each of your 12 participants and explain the problem from each unique perspective.
