Halberstein argues at the end of Chapter 6, TransFeminisms, that “the true enemy [of trans folks] has

nothing to do with feminism,” yet spends the chapter detailing the rift between “traditional” feminists and

transfeminists. In your thesis statement, answer the question, “What place should trans* people occupy in

the feminist movement?” In your supporting argument, be sure to define feminism, as you see it, and

provide (and refute) alternate perspectives, before stating your case for your own argument. Include a

thesis statement that clearly and forcefully states what you will argue, and be sure to restate your

argument in your conclusion.
