How has US propaganda and mainstream media fueled the military industrial complex through manipulating public opinion?
This class is called "Truth/Fake News" and we've spent it defining propaganda and connecting it to the mainstream media in the United States today. I chose to write my final essay on how this media connection has enflamed and been an essential part of gathering public support for conflicts, which has strengthened the military industrial complex since WWII. I was planning on focusing the Vietnam War and the Afghanistan War as supporting evidence for the garnering of public support for, possibly unending, militaristic action.
