There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 and 2. Type 1 is also called juvenile diabetes and happens when the pancreas doesn’t produce little or no insulin. Very common in one’s adolescent years. I am very familiar with this type because both of my grandparents on my mom’s side have it. I remember seeing my grandma inject herself with insulin every night. Which is something they must do everyday. Symptoms range from various things. Such as excessive thirst, fatigue, nausea, frequent urinating and blurred vision. Most adults are at risk for type two diabetes. This is the most common type. It happens when the body doesn’t make enough insulin or it resists it. A lot of the times to people who are overweight or obese and to ethnic groups. This can be controlled with a healthy diet, exercise and medication along with the first two. Weighloss is a symptom for type two diabetes along with symptoms similar to those in type one.
