Unemployment Rate in the US

In the past 3 weeks there has been over 16.8 jobless claims filed in the US, and many say that the unemployment rate is likely at 13% or so percent today. Three weeks ago the unemployment rate was 3.4%. JP Morgan estimates the unemployment rate may hit 20%, and that GDP (Gross Domestic Product may contract 40% in the second quarter.

Here is the question…….With unemployment rising at unprecedented levels, and the economy at a standstill, "Why in your opinion has the stock market recovered nearly 20% of it's March loss?"
