In our study of United States history, we have researched its foundation, constitutions, revolutions, politics, social issues, economics, civil wars, international conflicts and modern day issues. The United States has a rich history that is based on the concepts of egalitarianism, democracy, civil rights, and freedom. The purpose of our Federal Government, as found in the Preamble of the Constitution, is to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity."
