US divorce rates

In the US, divorce rates are steadily deceasing , but remain at 3.2 per 1000(CDC 2018). Therefore the divorce rate for the US population is currently 46.4% (CDC2018) Unfortunately this means that generally nearly 1/2 of your pediatric patient population will be in a home of a divorced parents. How do you as FAmily Nurse practitioner make sure the custodial and non custodial parent receive accurate , unbiased medical information? Under what circumstances can you share and under what circumstances can you NOT share information with parents? What are the laws in your state Maryland regarding this ?
