Write a Research Paper on a work of art from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. To choose your work of art, visit Met’s website: http://www.metmuseum.org/. Click on Art: then on Collection: then on Collection Highlights. You can choose any work of art from the Met’s collection for your project with the following limitations: 1) The artwork was created between 25,000 BCE and 1350 CE (roughly the time periods covered in this class). 2) The artwork is a work of Western Art. It does NOT include art from China, Japan, Thailand, India, Africa (except for Egypt), Native North America, South America or Oceania.
