Political Ads these days range from thought-proving and interesting, to outright ridiculous (and in one case above use of cryptids). Ads that come directly from a candidate must have them personally saying they approve the message. But any organization can also run their own attack ads any time, and say virtually anything they want, regardless of a candidate's support. Fairness laws mean that a tv station must give equal opportunity for any political opponent if it grants time to any one.
