Prepare and submit an annotated list of twenty (20) websites that deal with human sexual biology topics appropriate to the course. A list of twenty websites devoted to a single topic is acceptable but not required. An appropriate website is one that is totally or primarily about a topic specifically related to this course. Many topics are touched upon briefly in the course but may not be appropriate for this assignment.
Each entry should be the highest-level page (i.e., homepage, start page) at the website and not a page from within the same site. For example, the address http://www/prostatecancerfoundation.org and any other addresses that begin with http://www/prostatecancerfoundation.org will be considered to be the same website. The required information for each website should include:
Its title: This can usually be found in the title area across the top of your browser window. For example, if you go to http://www.njcu.edu, you will see that the title of the webpage is “New Jersey City University [NJCU]”.
Its complete Uniform Resource Locator (URL, or Internet address). For example, the webpage for NJCU is located at http://njcu.edu/home.aspx. This can be found in the "address bar" below the webpage title.
The name of the sponsoring organization, institution or individual responsible for the site. For example, Cengage Learning, Inc., produced the webpage for your textbook. This sponsor is often listed somewhere on each website’s homepage or obtained by clicking on the “Contact” or “About” link. Do not list advertisers, donors or other providers of financial support as sponsors. Also, do not list the person(s) who created and maintain the website.
A 10- to 25-word description of the sponsoring institution, organization or agency. For example, http://www.prostatecancerfoundation.org is the website of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, which could be described thus: “The Prostate Cancer Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to curing prostate cancer by sponsoring and promoting research.” This description should not include text copied from the site.
