The text below is the abstract that I wrote Women’s social statues under Confucius in" rel="nofollow">in The Romance of the Western Chamber This article is talk about the women’s social statues under Confucius durin" rel="nofollow">ing ancient Chin" rel="nofollow">ina. From The Romance of the Western Chamber, Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing’s situation shows her situation of her own marriage and reflected the society of ancient Chin" rel="nofollow">ina. The dramatic text main" rel="nofollow">inly focuses on Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing and Zhangsheng’s love story, and showin" rel="nofollow">ing that how Confucius affectin" rel="nofollow">ing on their love and marriage, especially for Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing as a girl durin" rel="nofollow">ing that period. As a girl, she has no power to fight for her marriage, in" rel="nofollow">instead, she has to follow her parents’ decision, even though she does not like the man that be chosen to her. In The Romance of the Western Chamber, Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing, Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing’s mother, and Hongniang represent the different character and different class of women. Under the Confucius, Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing is the one that oppresses by the society, she likes Zhangsheng, but her behavior is locked by the society, she wants to fight for her own marriage, but she cannot do it because of the society. Yin" rel="nofollow">ingyin" rel="nofollow">ing is from a high-class family, her education and the society constrain" rel="nofollow">int her, she asks Zhangsheng out durin" rel="nofollow">ing the night time shows her decision to broke her lock, but she still afraid of that, she afraid to be found out, even though she still feels some guilty in" rel="nofollow">inside of her. In the end, the article will argue that women under the Confucius theory in" rel="nofollow">in ancient Chin" rel="nofollow">ina has no right to fight for themselves, but The Romance of the Western Chamber reflects the desire to broke the old rule and improve the status of women in" rel="nofollow">in society.
