Writing in Terms of Cresswell and Bruch

  Writing in Terms of Cresswell and Bruch   develop a concept from one of the readings (Cresswell’s “Place" or Bruch’s “Moving to the City”) in order to show how this concept reveals something about a subject matter of your choosing- In First Year Writing we talk about readings as “lenses” that shape how we see “artefacts.” We believe that reading texts should do more than provide you with information. Instead, readings should alter how you see your world. Put another way, you need to explore a term or terms from your reading- . ..and based on these terms, imagine what Cresswell or Bruch might say about your subject- . .and write about the subject in their terms-
