Will robots become more central to our lives and societies?

 

Is necessity the mother of invention or is it the other way around? It is often said that necessity is the mother of invention–that technologies are invented because
we need them? Is this true? Instead could you are argue that needs are created by technology. For instance, before there was television, no one needed television. When
I began teaching at Wilson College, we laughed at the few people who owned cell phones. Now it is hard to get through the day without a cell phone. Were cell phones
ever needed or were they first invented and then this created a need? please address this question with the topic of ′Will robots become more central to our lives and
societies?′ maybe talk about roomba and other house hold ′robots′ and go into detail about if its because people are making these robots we need them, or do we need them
so were making robots.
