American Literature II

Directions: Our first “Brief Writing Assignment” asks us to consider definitions of Realism and Regionalism, and to formulate a smallish essay in which we create an argument about one or more authors and argue how he/she/they measure up to the definition and why.  Which author have you chosen, and why do you think they are exemplary of the definitions of Realism or Regionalism, or perhaps both?
