Requirements
(1) Select a company and copy/paste its fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial statements
Select a public corporation (other than a fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial in” rel=”nofollow”>institution or utility such a telephone, electric or gas company), and fin” rel=”nofollow”>ind its fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial statements at http://moneycentral.msn.com. Avoid companies that show Net Losses in” rel=”nofollow”>in either of the last two years:
On the menu of topics at the top, click on “Investin” rel=”nofollow”>ing”, “Stocks”. In the “Name or Symbol” box, type in” rel=”nofollow”>in the name or the stock symbol of the company you have selected. Under “Research” and “Fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial Results” in” rel=”nofollow”>in the column on the left, select “Statements”. In the dropdown menu select each of the three fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial statements and copy/paste them onto separate pages of a sin” rel=”nofollow”>ingle Word document.
(2) Calculate selected ratios and obtain” rel=”nofollow”>in in” rel=”nofollow”>industry averages for comparison
For each of the fin” rel=”nofollow”>inancial statement ratios listed below calculate the ratio for the current year and for the prior year.
